REVIEWS

We're had a great stay at Courtney's. The house was spacious and had wonderful outdoor space. We had friends renting one of Courtney's other houses up the road, and we all converged on our house as the center of gravity for our 3-family summer camp 🙂. The house is within walking distance of a large trail network - if you were so inclined, you could easily take an 8-10 mile hike directly from the house (with lots of shorter options too). Wildcat Rock is a serious climb, but totally worth it. Bearwallow Mountain is more moderate (assuming you drive to its trailhead instead of hiking from the house) and has a great payoff. The kitchen was well equipped, with everything we needed and the sharpest knives I've ever seen in an Airbnb, which I really appreciated. The wifi was good, and my husband had no issues working remotely for part of our stay. We had a few minor hiccups over the course of our two week stay and Courtney was incredibly responsive and got things sorted out quickly. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful location for experiencing all that the area has to offer. About 25 mins to downtown Asheville and centrally located for hiking and state parks. The home was spotless and very well appointed for meals and relaxing. The hot tub was an added bonus-it looks new! Leslie, March 2022

What a truly fabulous find. Courtney was an exceptional host! The place was immaculate, beds soooo comfy, fireplace, hot tub on a screened in porch with beautiful views of the mountains. The sound of the creek that runs in front of the property so nice. We wished we had more time to take advantage of the many amenities . Look no further. This was perfection.

House was amazing. Host offered lots of added touches. Great location. Would love to stay again.

This house was absolutely beautiful and the grounds were magnificent! We had a great time in front of the fire both inside the house and at the fire pit. We will be staying here again and again. Just loved it!

My husband, two little kids and my parents rented this house over President's Day weekend and we could not have been happier. The house itself is stunning - just as pictured. Beautiful artwork, comfortable and practical furniture, comfy bedding, plenty of space to eat and hang out in the kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked with necessities - note that they have a drip coffee machine so bringing Keurig pods will do you absolutely no good. Plenty of high quality towels were provided for the hot tub and in the bathrooms. The entire house was very clean - I had no concerns about letting my 8 month old crawl around on the floor. The hot tub was really clean as well. We loved all the outdoor games provided - horseshoes, croquet and cornhole - we played them all! My daughter loved the little bridge at the church and the creek. The church bells and music were so beautiful. We also used the firepit and some firewood was provided. The house is conveniently located between Asheville and Chimney Rock/Lake Lure so plenty of things to explore and do. The little coffee shop they recommended has delicious tea and honey as well. I've stayed in a lot of Airbnb rentals in Asheville and this is the only one that I will absolutely return to. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

This place was Amazing! We loved it! Location was perfect. Matt was quick to respond to any of my messages. The 2 separate houses are perfect for large groups so you can be together but also have privacy as well. We will be staying here again for sure.

Great place! Lots of space and great outdoor area. Cute lights in the yard so your fun doesn’t have to stop once the sun goes down. It was clean and had everything you’d need for your stay. Internet connection was good as we needed it for a day of working from home. Loved the hot tub! It’s about 30 min drive to Ashville. Courtney was quick to respond and provided lots of great recommendations. Top notch! Will definitely return!

Great home close to Asheville and surrounding attractions. The decor and kitchen facilities are great. Nice grill, covered hot tub, and overall wonderful experience!

Top shelf. You will find no place better stocked, decorated, or worth every penny you spend. There are so many good things to say about this place it’s easier to say there’s nothing about it I would change. A lot of Airbnb’s have gaudy or cliche decorations. No familiar stock photos framed or Hobby Lobby plaques on the walls — this place has art you might see in a museum. No Keurig machine — top shelf coffee in the fridge, real can sugar and a French press. Kitchen is huge. Hot tub hot. Fireplace huge. 10/10.

Our stay here was absolutely wonderful, and we highly, highly recommend it. The house itself is impeccable: It has been extremely well-maintained and cared for. And there is so much to do at the house itself - outdoor games, board games, books, hot tub, firepit - that you could go here to "check out" for a long weekend/week and not feel much need at all to even leave the property.

On top of that, the hosts put a lot of thought into, "What would make this a more enjoyable stay, and an amazing experience for our guests?" From the bottle of prosecco to the coffee, the dog blanket to make our pup's bed that much cozier, and the S'mores packages and marshmallow skewers, they really thought of everything. And while none of it was expected, it was fully appreciated and made it that much easier to relax and enjoy our stay.

The yard is perfect for kids and dogs alike. I was a little concerned when I saw on Google maps that the property was along a 2-lane road. But when we arrived, I was relieved to see that I had nothing to worry about. The is a wide creek with banks on both sides that make it a perfect protective barrier to ensure your kids or dog don't dash out on the main road. (There is a 1-3 ft bank on the yard side of the creek and a 4 ft or higher bank on the other side, which also has trees and bushes growing there to provide an attractive natural barrier.)

Our pup doesn't have much chance to run off leash at home, and she absolutely loved running around the yard and chasing her ball, chasing sticks or just running after us. My daughter (and my sister!) made full use of the fire pit for making S'mores.

As lovely as the house was, we were there to explore the area and ventured out every day. The house is nicely located: It's about 25 mins to downtown Asheville, 15-20 to the Blue Ridge Parkway, and maybe 10 mins to Chimney Rock. We fully enjoyed hiking in Chimney Rock, and we also did 3 of the trails closer to the house. We highly, highly recommend doing the Bearwallow Mountain hike. It's 1 mile to the top, and it's a moderate path that is fine for most ages. Once at the top, you get a gorgeous, panoramic view.

If you're looking for a memorable stay near Asheville and all the hiking the area has to offer, we highly recommend staying here!

Peaceful, relaxing home with gracious, attentive hosts. The kitchen is a treat to cook in, and nothing beats the gas logs in the living room, or the hot tub on the screened in porch. Surrounded by trees, church bells, and wind chimes outdoors with a plethora of books and games to enjoy inside. We had the good fortune of being snowed in, allowing a chance to truly unplug and enjoy the surroundings. When we lost power for most of a day the hosts ensured that we had bottled water, candles, and a plowed driveway. Big fluffy towels and thoughtful touches at every turn. Highly recommended!
